Om Lotus Towel

The Om Lotus towel is made of 100% cotton, featuring an image of the Om mantra within a lotus flower on a red background.

The MANTRA OM According to the Mandukya Upanishad, one of the Upanishads (Hindu scriptures that form the basis of Vedanta and its philosophy), Om or Aum symbolically represents the immutable, encompassing everything that exists, has existed, and will exist.

Everything is truly the syllable Om, and everything not subject to the triple time is also, truly, the syllable Om. The Upanishads declare that all that exists and does not exist can be controlled by intoning the sacred syllable Om.

Hindus believe it is effective in correcting errors in fire sacrifices, and meditating on Om fulfills all needs and leads to spiritual liberation.

Most prayers and sacred readings are preceded by the recitation of Om. Om represents union with the supreme and the joining of the physical with the spiritual.
